Her sudden initiative took Zhou Yang by surprise, but unfortunately, it was about Shen He. Zhou Yang lowered his body slightly and patiently explained, “Even if I hadn’t called him back to the country, Shen He would have had to face the same choice eventually. He should give up or not.”
He still didn’t realize what he had done wrong.
Su Hao glanced at him, pushed him away, and continued to browse the shops. This was a shopping center, and all the stores were next to each other. There were many gifts that could be bought.
After being pushed away, Zhou Yang stood still for a while, watching the slender woman not far away. Even though he couldn’t see her face, he could sense the strong aura of coldness around her. It could be called a cold war, or in worse terms, a showdown, especially because of Shen He. His thin lips pressed into a tight line.
She didn’t even look back once.
She continued shopping alone, completely ignoring him.
It was as if his presence didn’t matter at all.
Zhou Yang gripped the railing and thought coldly, Is Shen He really that important?
In the past, if he had encountered a woman like this, he would have turned and walked away by now.
A few seconds later, Zhou Yang tugged at the collar of his shirt, strode forward, and grabbed Su Hao’s wrist from behind. He turned and stared at her.
Su Hao glanced at him and struggled slightly.
Zhou Yang, his voice deep and threatening, said, “If you keep causing trouble, I’ll kiss you until your legs go weak.”
Su Hao gave him another fleeting glance, but this time she didn’t struggle, just continued to ignore him. Her personality was such that if she was a bit displeased, she would ignore the person, and she walked on. Su Hao went into a cosmetics store to buy lipstick for Liao Yun. When she reached for the samples, Zhou Yang had no choice but to let go.
He then wrapped his arm around her waist.
But Su Hao still ignored him.
The atmosphere seemed a bit strange. Zhou Yang had never been so publicly disregarded by a woman, and with the salespeople watching, it was clear to everyone that this woman was ignoring such a handsome man, who was still clinging to her as if afraid she would run away. This woman clearly seemed to be pampered.
The two of them were inwardly conflicted.
Zhou Yang’s narrow eyes scanned the scene lightly. The two salespeople froze for a moment, then quickly looked away, carefully introducing the lipsticks to Su Hao.
“This shade is suitable for fair skin. If you want to brighten up your complexion, choose this one. And this one is the ‘sexy’ shade.”
Su Hao took two lipsticks, looking at the colors on her wrist. Her fair skin made both colors look good—one a light orange and the other a classic red. The salespeople praised, “With your fair skin, any color suits you.”
“I’m not buying for myself. I’m just looking.” Su Hao glanced at the mirror nearby, ready to move. She looked down at the man’s arm and tapped it.
Zhou Yang snorted coldly, looking down at his phone and ignoring her.
Su Hao also ignored him, took the two lipsticks to the checkout, and paid. Zhou Yang told the salesperson, “Wrap up all the colors she touched.”
The salesperson was taken aback.
Another one responded, “Oh, okay, okay.”
Immediately, the salesperson quickly gathered nearly thirty lipsticks, including all the ones Su Hao had glanced at.
Su Hao took the bag and looked at Zhou Yang. Zhou Yang didn’t look at her but paid with his credit card. As he signed, Su Hao tried to leave, but she was abruptly pulled back by Zhou Yang’s arm around her waist. She fell into his embrace. Zhou Yang set down the pen, looked at her, and his eyes were teasing. “Running away? You’re quite the runner.”
He then took the bag from her and held the other two bags tightly, pulling her away.
Su Hao continued to ignore him.
Zhou Yang looked at her a few times, his tone a bit annoyed. “How long are you going to stay angry?”
“You’re so good at cold wars.”
Su Hao could sense his irritation but kept her mouth shut, acting as if she hadn’t heard him. She looked at the shops on either side, searching for something to buy for her mother. Zhou Yang’s eyes narrowed, and he said nothing more. Su Hao entered a bird’s nest shop and looked around.
Buying clothes and other items wasn’t suitable for Cheng Ling. It would be better to buy some bird’s nest and keep it at home for when her mother came over to cook.
After making the purchase, she came out. Zhou Yang was leaning against the railing, holding the bag, with his hands in his pockets, watching her.
Su Hao still ignored him and walked towards the elevator. Zhou Yang put away his phone and followed. As soon as Su Hao entered the elevator, Zhou Yang closed the door with a snap, then pushed Su Hao against the wall, pinning her and holding her chin up. “You’ve been angry for a little over an hour; that should be enough.”
Su Hao, pressed against the wall, looked at his expression of impatience and laughed. “If you’re so impatient, why don’t you leave?”
Zhou Yang: “You think I haven’t thought about it?”
“Then you should act on it.” Su Hao’s smile was gentle, her dimples showing faintly, but her words were sharp as knives.
It was rare that she didn’t avoid him.
There was still a chance for them to interact this way, so the rest could be endured.
“You smell so good.” His kiss fell on her cheek and neck.
The elevator dinged—arriving at the first floor. The people waiting outside were stunned, watching the scene in the elevator: a tall man pinning a woman against the wall and seemingly kissing her, creating an intimate atmosphere.
Zhou Yang’s collar was slightly open, his expression charming.
But his tall stature and strong presence made people move aside as he walked out. Some people even blushed, deliberately complaining.
“What kind of place do you think the elevator is?”
"Well, how embarrassing."
"What does the woman look like?"
"I can't see. That man is blocking her."
When they exited the building, some people were still watching. Zhou Yang opened the car door, helped Su Hao into the passenger seat, then put the items in the back seat, circled around to the driver's side, and started the car. The black Bentley drove away.
In Kyoto's commercial district, luxury cars are everywhere. There are many young masters like Zhou Yang, but those with outstanding and unforgettable looks are rare.
Zhou Yang's appearance is top-notch, and the crowd stood there watching until the Bentley was out of sight.
Upon arriving at the hotel, Su Hao got out to grab the bags from the back seat but missed the one Zhou Yang bought. Zhou Yang opened the car door, took the bag, and stuffed it into her arms.
"I bought this for you. Why do you only accept things from others?" He had his hands in his pockets, looking down at her from above.
Su Hao was taken aback. "I don’t want it."
She then pulled the bag back and threw it at him.
"I already have enough. You bought so many; I can’t use them all." Su Hao turned and entered the hotel. Zhou Yang gritted his teeth and, after a few seconds, threw the entire gift bag into the trash can.
Su Hao had one foot in the door and looked back.
Zhou Yang stood by the trash can, lighting a cigarette, looking indifferent.
His hands were empty, and the string of the gift bag was still fluttering at the edge of the trash can.
Su Hao closed her eyes. "Pick it up."
Su Hao walked over, reached out to push the trash can lid, and Zhou Yang glanced at her before grabbing her wrist. Su Hao looked up at him.
She stared at him for a few seconds, and Zhou Yang found it hard to resist. "Just tell me, why don’t you want these lipsticks?"
"More than thirty lipsticks, when will I ever use them all?"
Zhou Yang: "Use a different color each day."
"That’s wasteful."
Zhou Yang: "Women should be wasteful."
"I don’t like it." Su Hao struggled to take the bag. Seeing how insistent she was, Zhou Yang tightened his grip on her hand, then, after a few seconds, put the cigarette in his mouth and reached for the bag himself.
He felt embarrassed retrieving it.
He had already thrown it away and was now picking it up again!
Passersby and security guards watched curiously as the two rummaged through the trash can. At that moment, Assistant Lu arrived. Zhou Yang saw him and said coldly, “Come here!”
Assistant Lu was taken aback, adjusted his glasses, and stepped forward, only to see Zhou Yang push a gift bag toward him. “It’s for you.”
After saying this, Zhou Yang grabbed Su Hao’s wrist and pulled her into the lobby. Su Hao followed, turning back to Assistant Lu and saying, “If you don’t need it, just return it. There are still tickets inside.”
“Okay.” Assistant Lu glanced down and was stunned.
Lipsticks!
What am I going to do with them?
What kind of lipsticks!
So many of them!
Maybe I should sell them on my social media?
